| By 1929, Messieurs Bréheret et Prat, the founders, started exhibiting the original works
of living artists. Since then, the gallery has become internationally reknown for the high
quality of art it exhibits. Many world famous artists such as Picasso and Chagall, were
exhibited at the gallery even befor becoming well-kown. Today this tradition continues
with many of the artists represented by Gallery Bréheret present in major museum
collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of New York, The Victoria and Albdert Museum
of London and the Museum of modern Art of Paris, to name only a few. The Bréheret
Gallery is a member of the Chambre Syndicale de lEstampe et du Dessin. The works
offered by the Gallery come directly from the artists* a fact naturally guarantees the
authenticity of each, and a certificate may be obtained at the time of purchase.
Special relationships with each artist mean a steady and lasting presence of their work,
making the gallery a convivial spot for cultural exchanges - with the added possibility of
meeting the artists on occasion, especially at openings.
*In the case of lithographs, the works come from the official publisher or the artist.
